A bittersweet symphony

In my Perfect Serve series, I will take you on a trip around the world in search of cocktail perfection. Let me introduce you to the Winter Warrior.

Whether your winters are soft and sunny or cold and icy, it helps to have some backup in the form of a seasonal drink that excites and activates the senses. Series One of Sir Edmond’s Perfect Serves has seen a wide variety of cocktails, ranging from sweet and subtle to hot and adventurous. The home shakers will find all serves, in order the Flamingo Journal.

This  time it’s about the Winter Warrior, is a lot gentler than the name suggests but certainly challenges the taste buds. I even dare to say this alluring cocktail sizzles with sensory surprises. Maybe it’s due to the exclusive Polish vodka liqueur flavoured with honey, vanilla and other spices. Perhaps it’s The Bitter Truth that this drink contains, or the delicate palette of Sir Edmond. But it most likely is the witchcraft that transforms these ingredients into a bittersweet symphony that fascinates from the first sip to the last.

Take it easy with this Winter Warrior though, for he’s a strong one. Come at him unprepared and he will have you on your back in no time. Instead take in his words of wisdom and who knows, you might deserve yourself an apprenticeship.
