Conquer hearts with our favourite pink drink

S

ummer’s here, and with it, the scent of sunscreen, longer nights, and fresh fruit. As a tropical bird, I feel right at home during hot days, and what better way to celebrate that than with a drink?

As you know by now, we love to honour our history and revisit a classic. This time, it’s the Flamingo Club cocktail, our take on the classic Clover Club cocktail. The Clover Club was born in the 1800s in Philadelphia, where it gained popularity amongst patrons there before making its way to New York, becoming famous, infamous, and everything in between. Over the years, the Clover Club became one of the more curious cocktails to grace the bars of the East Coast, containing a surprising combination of raspberry, gin, egg whites, and lemon juice—the perfect combination of sweet and tart with a lovely pink colour.

Here at Sir Edmond Gin, we bring you the Flamingo Club cocktail featuring our smooth Bourbon vanilla infused gin, creating an irresistible blend of flavours to enjoy on your balconies or by the pool.

Follow these instructions for a crisp, seasonal treat:

Step 1: Cool your Martini glass

Step 2: Pour 50ml of Sir Edmond Gin into a shaker

Step 3: Add 20 ml of fresh lemon juice

Step 4: Add 15 ml of simple syrup or raspberry syrup

Step 5: Add 4 raspberries

Step 6: To smoothen your drink, add 15 ml of egg white or aquafaba if you’re vegan

Step 7: Dry shake first, then add your ice and shake again

Step 8: Double strain into a cooled Martini glass and garnish with a raspberry

Don’t forget to top it off with a flamingo feather for an extra lush touch! Cheers!
