INTERNATIONAL FLAMINGO DAY

The beauty of being different

Why the flamingo?

From the very beginning, we knew one thing for certain: if we were going to create a gin it had to be different. In a world full of bottles, we wanted to be the off one out – something you don’t just taste but truly feel.

That journey led us to the story of Edmond Albius and the tropical island of La Réunion. A place of striking contrasts: volcanic landscapes, lush rainforests and hidden beaches. But among all this naturel beauty, we discovered something that instantly resonated with us. The flamingo.

Officially known as the Phoenicopteriformes – a creature that never apologises for what it is. Elegant, distinctive and different.
What many people don’t know is that flamingos aren’t born pink. Their colour develops over time, shaped by what they consume. A subtle reminder that character and colour evolve with time.

Perhaps that’s exactly what speaks to us.

Like the flamingo, we believe that being different isn’t a risk, but a strength. That it’s okay to stand out. That you can claim your own place – on the shelf, behind the bar, or somewhere in between.
Flamingos live together, move together and create something greater than themselves. A collective built on balance, elegance and a touch of the unexpected.

And maybe that’s what it’s all about.

So, this International Flamingo Day, we raise a glass to the unconventional. To character. To colour.
And to everyone who dares to stand out.
