Today, we celebrate International Coffee Day, a tribute to one of the world's most beloved flavors. Coffee is known for its rich aromas, deep flavors, and its ability to bring poeple together. But did you know that coffee also pairs surprisingly well with gin?
Coffee and vanilla have long been a favorite flavor combination, and that's no coincidence. Both ingredients naturally contain aromatic compounds that complement and enhance one another. While coffee is known for its roasted, slightly bitter and intense character, vanilla brings warmth, roundness and a subtle sweetness.
Bourbon vanilla also has the unique ability to make flavors feel softer and fuller. As a result, the rich notes of coffee are enhanced without losing any of their intensity. The outcome is a flavor profile that is both complex and approachable, perfectly balanced from start to finish.
For coffee cocktail enthusiasts, we like to give the classic Espresso Martini our own twist. With Sir Edmond Gin as its base, this serve brings togheter the creamy notes of Bourbon vanilla, freshly brewed espresso and the subtle hazelnut flavors of Frangelico.
